Anna Somers Cocks OBE, founder editor of The Art Newspaper and journalist, was chair of the Venice in Peril Fund from 2000 to 2012. She now focuses on investigating and making known the ways in which Venice is vulnerable to climate change, not least due to the unsuitable legal and administrative structures in Italy. She has been made a Commendatore della Stella d’Italia for her services to the country.
