Upcoming event on artists, law and legacies

We are proud to be offering an event with Boodle Hatfield LLP in London on Thursday, 17th November. The afternoon event, entitled ‘Artists, Their Work and Their Legacies: The Legal Issues of Managing an Artistic Oeuvre‘, will focus on three main areas: protecting an artist’s work, the appropriation of street art and managing an artist’s estate. Speakers will include senior lawyers, well-known contemporary artists and the CEO of the Design and Artists Copyright Society (DACS).
Presentations will be by Tim Maxwell (partner, Boodle Hatfield), Natasha Hassall (partner, Boodle Hatfield), Gilane Tawadros (CEO, DACS), Rudy Capildeo (Boodle Hatfield), Stik (street artist) and Giulia Zaniol (artist).
The event will take place at the offices of Boodle Hatfield at 240 Blackfriars Rd, London, SE1 8NW. The seminar will run from 2 pm until 6 pm and will be followed by a drinks reception.
