In order to launch the upcoming Art, Business and Law LL.M programme (commencing September 2017) that we are running in conjunction with Queen Mary, University of London, there will be a seminar and reception hosted by Clyde & Co in London on 23 January 2017.

The seminar, which will run from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, will be entitled The effect of Brexit on the law of the art market and arts managementWhat will be the full effect of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union on the law of the art market and arts management? A number of areas of law could potentially be subject to change when the UK formally pulls out of the EU, including with regards to copyright, moral rights, the artist’s resale right, digitisation, art crime, the restitution of cultural objects, art disputes, ADR and contractual issues.

The afternoon seminar, which will be eligible for CPD points, will be followed by a drinks reception. There is no cost to attend the event, but RSVPs are essential and spaces are limited.
