Art law practice event on 9 October in London

Our friends at the Franco-British Lawers Society (England & Wales section) will be hosting a free event in London on 9 October entitled ‘The Art of Advising – Art Law in Practice‘. The event will be held at Notre Dame University, London campus (famous venue for a number of IAL courses and conferences) and will run from 2 pm to 5:30 pm (followed by a titillating champagne reception).
The programme looks fascinating and includes sessions on the restitution of spoliated artwork and authenticity issues, as well as a run-through of recent art law cases. Speakers include representatives from Christie’s, the Metropolitan Police, the academic world and a number of prominent law firms from both sides of the Channel.
For more information and to RSVP for the event (which is required), see here.
The event is accredited for CPD points with the SRA, the BSB and the Ecole de Formation in France.
